CULTURAL TOURISM IN EGYPT. MOBILE APPLICATION AS ADVERTISING COMPONENT
Abstract
Today, mobile websites and mobile applications are top elements in the online marketing component list. If we build a website, it must be responsive, which means that it must be viewed on any device, including smartphone and tablets. Concerning small devices, a modern strategy is to build a mobile application that contains the website information. In most situations, using a mobile app offers a better experience than the mobile website browsing. Inside the mobile app, the user can access the content more easily. A bad navigation, through the website on a smartphone, leads to content abandonment. In this paper, we build a mobile application with offers of tours in Egypt. Egypt is a country with a developed tourism and a very rich history. The main Egyptian tourist attractions are: the Egyptian Museum, the Pyramids of Giza, the Al-Azhar Mosque, Karnak, Luxor Temple, the Temple of Hatshepsut, the Valley of Kings, the Nile, the Temple of Philae and Abu Simbel. As we can see from this list, most of the objectives are from the ancient period. For this reason, we connect our study to the greatest Egyptian personalities. Besides the mobile application with travel offers, we also present online marketing studies, that help us find what tourists are interested in out of the main objectives of Egypt.
