ARTISTIC BRONZE WARE OF ANCIENT PERM TRIBES FROM THE VOLGA-VYATKA INTERFLUVE DURING THE I MILLENNIUM AD
Abstract
The target of this research is most significant and impressive elements of the female costume from archaeological monuments dated to the 1st half of the I millennium ADand located in the Volga-Vyatka Interfluve. The article focuses on a specific type of the costume bronze decorations - arc rattle pendants which are of interest to comprehend local non-ferrous metalworking characteristic features, their artistic value and semantic text. The author provides a general description of the decorations and explores informational potential of their composition & ornament motif to reconstruct cosmological beliefs of ancient ethnic groups of the Volga-Vyatka Region.
