KEY ENABLERS FOR INNOVATION IN ROMANIAN ORGANIZATIONS – A PILOT STUDY
Abstract
The current European and international concerns on economic growth are embracing the stimulation of innovation and research, by generating new knowledge to ensure the competitiveness of organizations regardless of type, size, and operating industry. The paper addressed the issue of innovation for sustainable economic growth and investigated main factors responsible for innovation potential within Romanian business sector. The research methodology envisaged statically analysis of data by highlighting the results of univariate analysis for demographic profile of the sample, followed by the investigation of relations between types of innovation, level of investment and organizational characteristics. The results quantified and ranked the opinions related to different factors which should be taken into consideration for organizational innovation. Considering these findings, the author shared his view by making suitable recommendations for stepping up the organizational innovation potential, taking into consideration the Romanian business circumstances.
