PECULIARITIES OF THE NATIONAL SYSTEM OF THE HOTELS` STAFF QUALIFICATION EVALUATION

Abstract

The article presents the results of a study of the formation and development of the system of professional qualifications in the Russian Federation. In this study, methods of expert estimations, the theoretical-methodological methods of generalization and synthesis, which allowed to make the authors’ estimation of the evaluation system of professional qualifications in the hospitality industry, and to develop recommendations for its amendment were used. The author's approaches to the description of professional qualifications in the hospitality industry were proposed. Moreover, a comprehensive approach to the development and application of professional standards in the hospitality industry for the creation and improvement of centers for assessment of qualifications were described. The formulated problem of training in the hospitality industry related to enhancing the role of additional training programs and refresher training while reducing the role of the professional programs of higher and secondary special education. There were given the author's assessment of the problems and the prospects of development of national system of professional qualifications for example in the hospitality industry. Recommendations for improving the system of professional qualifications in the hospitality industry are presented.
