SPECIFICS OF THE SIMILARITY OF OBJECTS IN RECOGNITION OF PERSONS
Abstract
In the scientific study, author discusses recognition as a forensic method, which in terms of criminal law also constitutes an important procedural step. Scientific study is one of the outcomes of the research project registered by the Academy of the Police Force in Bratislava under the number 167, entitled "Implementing the recognition in the police practice". The research was conducted from 2012 and it was completed in 2016. The collection of empirical material was done by using a structured questionnaire and the researched sample consisted of a total 150 respondents, which 75 were investigators and 75 were police officers responsible for summary investigation. The aim of the scientific study is to bring closer the specifics of the similarity of objects in recognition of persons as one of the essential preconditions for recognition with results of high value.
