TRANSDISCIPLINARITY AS A NEW FORM OF FUNDAMENTAL KNOWLEDGE IN THE SYSTEM OF HIGHER EDUCATION
Abstract
Background: In the article the process of forming holistic world outlook in education space of modern university through the synthesis of both cultures: scientific and humanitarian. Methods: The authors focus on the evolutionary-synergetic approach where transdisciplinary links, relations and interactions are integrated. The differences between disciplinary, interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary education structures are denoted. Results: The function of interdisciplinary synthesis in overwhelming cultures alienation is revealed. The potential of transdisciplinary approach in the system of higher education is fulfilled. The specificity of new type education in the context of epoch imperatives and new social practices are shown. The thesis that the holistic tendency maintains integrity originated from transdisciplinary coordination is proved. Conclusions: It is confirmed that in post-non-classical science the transdisciplinarity appears as a new type of knowledge organization in modern university. The results of the research can be used in the system of higher education to form universities of an innovative type.
