COMMUNICATIVE PRACTICES OF THE PEOPLES OF THE RUSSIAN NORTH-EAST IN THE CONTEXT OF DAILY ROUTINE: LOCAL ETHNIC REINDEER HERDING COMMUNITIES OF THE TUNGUS

Abstract

Within a framework of the research project В‘Archaeological cultures and ethnic communities of North-Eastern Siberia: geoculture, co-spatiality and identity (interdisciplinary discourse)В’ (2017-2020) in the block III В‘Profane and sacred space of the Northern Turks and the Tungus: daily routine, communication and modern symbolic representation of the territorial identityВ’ we began the study of the communicative culture of the Tungus people in the context of their daily routine. The research strategy involves the study of the sacred and the profane landscape of the Tungus through the prism of traditional values, mental images, behavioral norms and etiquette. The research focuses on the analysis of traditional and modern ritual practices and the symbolic means of communication as the spiritual component of culture with the use of interpretative anthropology methods. It is known that the models of cultural practices, social interactions, and symbolic means of communication differ significantly between various ethnic groups, shaping under the influence of a specific cultural system and, in turn, modifying the models of relations, rules and regulations of the social order.
