DEVELOPMENT OF AN INVESTMENT PROJECT FOR A MEAT PROCESSING ENTRPRISE BASED ON THE CONCEPT OF LEAN PRODUCTION
Abstract
Currently, the meat market is developing very dynamically. This is a consequence of the high import substitution throughout the country, due in particular to the State support for agricultural entrepreneurs. For 2021, it is forecast not only a threefold reduction in import compared to previous years, but also a boost to development of meat products. Thus, we can state that the livestock and poultry processing industry is on the rise and is a promising area for investment. Speaking about the Tambov region, we are also talking about the significant development of this industry, due to the increase in the number of small and medium-sized farmers, we can predict an even greater increase in supply and demand for products. The solution to the problem of selling farmers' products in the Tambov region, in particular in the city of Tambov, can be such a point of sale as a production based on Lean production technology. The aim of the production project is to make profit from the creation of the own enterprise and to gain practically free niche in the market of sale and processing of meat products, thus taking a share of the promising market in the whole developing industry. Among other things, the establishment of production will stimulate the development of meat processing in the region, so that consumers receive high-quality, fresh and natural products, and medium and small farmers receive points of sale for their products. The main strengths and weaknesses of the enterprise are determined, the opportunities and threats emanating from the external environment are indicated. Based on the analysis carried out, it is obvious that the opening of production is a promising project. The only significant weak point for the enterprise is the lack of reputation and brand prestige, since this enterprise is new, which, with the threat of an active struggle for the consumer, can become a decisive factor responsible for the lack of success of the project.
