REVISITING THE STUDY OF THE NOUN CATEGORY IN THE RUSSIAN LANGUAGE IN THE PROCESS OF TEACHING RUSSIAN AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE TO TAJIK STUDENTS
Abstract
This article deals with the noun gender category and provides its comparative analysis based on the two languages for the purpose of teaching Russian as a foreign language in an audience of Tajik students. The relevance of the study is determined by the growing role of the Russian language in the former USSR republics and the emergence of a stable interest in its study. The aim of the research is to compare the gender category in the native (Tajik) and studied (Russian) languages of the students. The following research methods were used in the study: – analysis and study of the subject-related literature; – the method of comparison of linguistic phenomena; – generalization in the form of systematization of the results obtained. The research results are scientifically new and practically significant, since they can be used in teaching aids for Tajik students studying Russian as a foreign language. The authors’ conclusions help make the learning process more efficient and effective.
