RESEARCH OF THE PECULIARITIES OF ATTITUDE TO LIE OF THE SENIOR PUPILS WITH DIFFERENT LEVEL OF ANXIETY
Abstract
Now in the Russian and the world community the increased interest to the lie phenomenon is felt. It is confirmed by the number of scientific publications, popular books, the success of the television series "Lie to Me", and the discussion of this topic on the Internet. The twenty-first century is the information age, and its broadcasting holds the possibility of its distortion. In this regard the development of the protection mechanisms against the information distortion becomes more actual, both at intergroup, and at interpersonal level. The psychology of understanding and identification of lie is rather new and understudied research area for the Russian science. During the Soviet period, the research of lie was under an unstated ban therefore the history of its studying in Russia begins from the 90s of the 20th century. However, "lie" belongs to the group of those concepts, which are widely used in philosophy, theology, psychology, pedagogical and social practice, as well as in everyday life of the person. The contribution of V.V. Znakov, who has analyzed moral, psychological, social aspects of understanding of lie and functioning of false statements, is significant. The problems of falsity and lie were studied by S. Bock (1978), E.A. Dushina (2000), V.V. Znakov (1999), N.G. Lyubimova (2003), M. Lewis, C. Saarni (2004), A.M. Malyavkina (2003), N.Yu. Sinyagina (2008), Yu.K. Shcherbatykh (2000), S.B. Walters (2010), P. Ekman (2000), Yu.I. Kholodny (2000), I.P. Shkuratov (2009), etc. Psychological research of falsity of the senior pupils is of current importance for several reasons: - this age period is key in formation of the personal behavior mechanisms of the child; - demonstration of tendency to lie and escalation of it in the teenager in the school years create unfavorable conditions for the educational activity course; - it is one of the topical issues, which the school psychologists and teachers face, since falsity acts as a sign of school disadaptation of the child, negatively influencing all areas of his/her life activity. To prove the research hypothesis the following methods were applied: Spielberger-Khanin anxiety self-assessment scale; I.P. Shkuratovas questionnaire "Attitide to Lie"; I.P. Shkuratovas Technique "Types of Lie". The analysis of the obtained results allowed revealing the common and the specific features in the attitude to different types of lie of the senior pupils with different level of anxiety. As a result of the realized psychological analysis, on the basis of the theoretical and the methodological foundation of the research the results which can serve as the reason for formation of the system of arrangements for prevention, warning and detection of the tendency to lie among the teenage senior pupils, as well as the advisory foundation in work with psychologists, teachers and parents, were obtained.
