Abstract

Business ethics is a wide subject that can be applied to all moral or ethical issues that arise in a business environment. Recent business ethics scandals have created a moral minefield of shifting expectations and growing uncertainty about the responsibilities of business. Economies fare better thriving in environments free of scandals, in morally cleaner firms. Firms often start out making good, ethical decisions, but the line separating right from wrong can be easy to cross. The article aptly illustrates that 1. in the organizational culture literature and academic literature oriented to the role of business ethics found a debate between damaging ethical lapses and owerful human impulses for moral action and ethical education, 2. also faculties don’t support the need of a concentrated effort of business and technical schools to enhance the level of ethics in business practice. The purpose of the article is 1. to analyze studies on business ethics and education, 2. to analyze current situation in technical study programs in the field of necessity of business ethics education and to suggest effective solution based on experiential learning; 3. to point to the ability of the school’s capacity to implement efficiently and sustainably ethical perspective into its programs and processes, 4. to show that faculties provide specialized ethics courses, subjects in their study programs (others faculties integrate the topic in several different courses across the curriculum). The article confirmed the necessity of Business ethics teaching in higher education as regards moral development of students as „managers and entrepreneurs of tomorrow“.
