REGIONAL APPROACH TO PROFESSIONAL IDENTITY OF SENIORS

Abstract

Society interest to the issue of personal fulfillment and self-actualization where professional activity plays a special part has increased due to social and economic changes in the Russian Federation, democratization and humanization in particular. The success of professional identity of the graduates of educational institutions has become the foundation upon which the requirements to the quality of experts training have been built. Nowadays about one third of young people in Russia isn't able to adapt to present situation successfully and regulate career intentions. The youth proportion among officially registered unemployed in Russian regions ranges from 20 to 38%. At the same time, as research shows, the right choice of profession by 2,5 times reduces turnover of staff, increases efficiency by 10-15%, by 1,5 - 2 times reduces personnel training cost. The system of career guidance, thus, can become and in many countries has become a global player of balanced and intensive economic growth. Labor market analysis confirms that there are serious problems in the system of youth career guidance. There is apparent discrepancy between requirements of labor market on the one hand, and motivation of workers on the other hand. In this regard, competent psychology and pedagogical maintenance of development of career guidance of studying youth is necessary. The process of professional identity is the result of many interrelated external and internal factors. It is the process of personality relation to professional and labor scope, the way of personality realization and the integral part of complete life identity. The factors of effective development of professional identity are the ways of subject oriented instructions, methods of extracurricular activity, social partnership with the subjects of career guidance, educational environment of educational institutions. The research method was the review of survey of 464 pupils of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). The review consisted of questions on sources of obtaining job information; factors, influencing the profession choice; life and career plans of students; motivation of chosen profession. Questionnaire results demonstrated that pupils of Yakutia generally offer the forms and methods of career guidance expanding the ideas of the world of professions making a professional education basis; special attention is paid to professional tests, meetings with successful graduates, work at enterprises, firms and offices. Moreover, seniors point to the existence of issues interfering their profession choice and places for continuingeducation; identify informational and financial challenges, as well as issues connected with psychology and pedagogical maintenance of the process of future profession choice.
