LINGUOCULTURAL ASPECT OF MODELING THE CONCEPTUAL TEXT SPACE
Abstract
The article considers the concepts expressed in the primary text (Text 1) and their actualization in the secondary text (Text 2) in regard to the solution of linguistic and cultural issues (representation and decoding, designation of a place in the linguistic worldview and the description of features caused by linguocultural situation). The authors are interested in the following problems: 1) how the concept of the primary text is represented when this text is mentioned as the precedent in the secondary text; 2) how the language personality of the author of the text (both primary and secondary) influences the process of concept representation; 3) how the reader perceives the represented concept in the process of decoding the secondary text. "The Stationmaster" by A.S. Pushkin from "The Tales of the Late Ivan Petrovich Belkin" (1831) served as the primary text (Text 1), and "Conversations about Russian Culture" (1993) by Yu. M. Lotman – as the secondary one (Text 2). The choice of literary works was due to their place in the Russian language worldview and the prospects of their analysis in terms of linguocultural and linguopersonological description. To study the implementation of these concepts in the process of the primary text perception a psycholinguistic experiment was conducted, involving master’s students of the Philology Faculty were involved. The data processing resulted in the construction of a graph-semantic model of the conceptual text space.
