Abstract

This article discusses important aspects of the interaction of language and culture, emphasizes the role of artistic expression in the education and upbringing of the younger generation, the negative trends can be traced in the functioning of the Russian language and makes suggestions to improve the current system of literary education in the direction of its synthesis with the objectives of educating the younger generation. The authors come to the conclusion that the teaching of the Russian language, focusing on the system-functional paradigm of its study, should also provide for the ethno-cultural aspect, based on the categories of imagery, emotionality, expressiveness realized by the artistic word that brings the educational process to the educational sphere. It is emphasized that the inculcation of skills for reflection, reflection of linguistic expressions and linguistic processes, increased interest in the fate of native words and their semantic evolution, the language of fiction and its emotional and moral saturation is one of the global and labor-intensive tasks of modern education.
