INFORMATION OVERLOAD AS A RISK FACTOR FOR PERSONAL INFORMATION SECURITY

Abstract

A number of serious consequences for the person, his organism and its safety has resulted from transition from post-industrial to information society. One of such consequences are information overloads. Information overload is only a factor that is somehow connected in the future with negative consequences for a person. The problem of information stress as a form of psychological stress was revealed today. Information overload, first of all, affect the emotional component of stress that acts as a kind of trigger for actuating the mechanism of stress. Information overload is danger, that is a situation at which essential harm as a result of consumption of surplus information can be done to the person. And in such look information overload is one of risk factors for information security of the personality. The analysis of problems of ensuring information security of the personality formulates new tasks: desire to maintain mental and physical health, increase of psychological stability, adequacy of reflection and attitude to the world around, the protection of the mind and consciousness from the rapid growth of new information requiring extreme processing of information.
