CURRICULUM REFORM IN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL IN SLOVAKIA AND TEACHERТ‘S BELIEFS ABOUT THE ASSESSMENT PROCESS
Abstract
The paper deals with the curricular reform in elementary school that was implemented in 2008. The paper analyzes current requirements in (not only) student assessment in primary education. The paper interprets partial research results about teachers' beliefs about assessment in primary education. This part of research was conceived through Q-methodology with 12 primary teachers. It mentions teachers' professional needs to develop their assessment competence in the 21st century.
