STUDY OF LIVING STANDARDS: RUSSIAN AND FOREIGN PRACTICE
Abstract
The main indicator of the effectiveness and efficiency of the socio-economic policy of any state is the standard of living of the population. It is the well-being of the population, its level of security, prosperity, health, education and self-realization that determine the development of the country as a whole. Currently, incomes and expenses of the population are an important component of the system of social and labor relations not only in Russia but also in many countries around the world. The aim of the study is to assess the standard of living of Russia and a number of foreign countries on the basis of various qualitative and quantitative indicators that allow to analyze the real level of welfare.To achieve this goal, we used a retrospective approach, as well as leading domestic and foreign analytical studies and periodicals, statistical data of specialized news agencies.The result of the study is the development of the main directions to increase the standard of living in Russia, taking into account foreign experience in terms of the impact of the global economic crisis on the processes of globalization. The practical significance of the study lies in the justification of the main measures to improve the living standards of the Russian population.
