DEVELOPING MODELS OF PSYCHOLOGICAL SUPPORTS FOR DIABETIC PATIENTS THROUGH PEER SUPPORTS: AN INITIAL REPORT
Abstract
The purpose of this research is to develop the models of psychological supports for diabetic patient through peer supports with an aim to design peer supports. Since the functions of the peer supports are context-dependent, the models need to be tailored to each context. In order to identify the context-dependent models, incremental approaches are taken. Firstly, context-independent models are assumed with reference to previous findings. Secondly, the models are applied to designing peer supports. Thirdly, the applied models are discussed with diabetic patients. Lastly, the applied models are revised to fit the situations. In this paper, firstly, the assumed context-independent models are explained. Next, the process to revise the model is proposed.
