PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION CHALLENGES ON THE WAY TO EUROPEAN INTEGRATION OF THE REPUBLIC OF MACEDONIA
Abstract
According to estimations of relevant institutions, the private sector, experts, citizens, public administration shows lack of administrative capacity in the implementation of constitutional and legal functions. It is intense of all countries claiming to be members of the EU countries improve their governance and efficiency as a prerequisite for achieving the economic and political objectives in the functioning and in providing services to the citizens. The Government of the Republic of Macedonia should come out from political stagnation, economic and social, and consistently to perform to the required reforms in order to meet specific and current requirements arising from the Agreement with the EU. Public administration reforms should use the experiences of other countries especially the countries that have a common heritage with RM, should serve as a model from which we must take advantages respectively the advantages of implemented reforms and by eliminating and reducing the disadvantages that are inevitable in the reform process and thereby approach the standards implemented in the European administrative space. In the path towards European integration Republic of Macedonia accomplishes cooperation with EU assistance through instruments that European institutions offer to candidate countries and in this context the improvement and growth of private-public partnership would improve the efficiency of the public administration. The contents of this paper will have theoretical and practical values which will review the functioning of public administration in the Republic of Macedonia-conformity with European rules. This paper belongs to the field of public administration, so research methodology consists of using general and specific methods, so that along with the comparative method public administration will be research more successfully.
