THE OPPORTUNITIES OF DISTANCE LEARNING TECHNOLOGIES AIMED AT THE SOCIALIZATION OF LEARNERS AND APPLIED IN THE COURSE OF RESEARCH TEACHING EXPERIMENTS
Abstract
Teaching experiment is the benchmark of understanding the credibility of the surrounding world therefore there is a need to provide optimal conditions for carrying it out. This experiment requires new modern means and methods that will develop and enrich methodology and teaching practice. The analysis of employment of the existing means and methods displays the underdevelopment of topics of experimental studies, low technical capacity of laboratories, and insufficient use of the opportunities of modern training resources. Simulation exercises as demonstrative means should be used only when direct and indirect demonstrations of the phenomenon or process under investigation are impossible. A separate group of experiments can be represented by those experiments that can’t be carried out in the settings of testing laboratories of the majority of educational institutions. Monitoring and controlling of such processes requires special expensive equipment which is affordable only to large research-and-development centers. Distance learning is specifically directed at the creation and implementation of the new educational forms integrated with the existing ones and aimed at the improvement of the quality of education. Our university has all means of long distance communication aimed at expanding modern experimental teaching methods. We conduct webinars, our collaborative research work is accompanied by videoconferences with other cities and educational institutions, and we also arrange Academic Olympics with the use of Internet technologies, which helps to identify the level of experimental skills developed. Recent years see the development of various scientific projects with the involvement of partners from academic institutions from different regions and countries.
