THE INTERRELATION OF THE ABILITY OF PREDICTION AND PROBABILISTIC THINKING STYLE OF STUDENTS

Abstract

Modern studies show that todayВ’s education is focused on the development of the personality of a student. This is due to the fact that at the moment the most important aspect in the process of receiving knowledge is learning the methods of it, which are based on analysis and forecasting. This is guided by the educational process for the development of probabilistic style of thinking that all adequate solutions in the conditions of limited information, and when the decision-making process itself is based on the probabilistic evaluation of events. The analysis of the work shows that although there is no single idea of what components are in the structure of probabilistic style of thinking, most researchers speak about the important role of the ability to predict. The purpose of the study was to study the features of the relationship of the ability to forecast and the components of the probabilistic style of thinking in students. 90 students were examined (the average age 20 В± 3,03 years). The study of the features of the probabilistic style of thinking was carried out using the technique: The R. Amthauer Test (TSI) (TSI), New Tolerance To Uncertainty Questionnaire (NTUQ), Rational-Experiential Inventory (REI). The ability to predict was studied using the ReBOS methodology, which allows to evaluate the features of sensorimotor integration within a simple and complex sensorimotor response, which demonstrate the quality of prediction of the fractal structure of the sensory flow. It has been found that there is a relationship between the indicators of sensor-engine integration and the components of the probabilistic style of students. It was revealed that the features of intellectual development are interconnected with the features of personal self-regulation in the absence of sustainable sets or selectiveness of the use of solutions. The ability to predict, which is expressed in a more precise reproduction of the fractal sequence of the stimuli is interrelated with the level of intelligence development and the logical component of the probabilistic style of thinking, as well as the ability to decide in conditions of uncertainty, variability and conflicting of the context.
