Abstract

The study proposes to promote ecotourism and to highlight its importance for the economic development of the studied area. Caras Severin County attract a lot of tourists due to the high number of touristic objectives, but mainly due to Bigar waterfall which was nominated as the most beautiful waterfall in the world. Due to the high number of tourists, the natural landscapes are damaged, therefore the purpose of this study is to acknowledge the value of nature, so that the tourists and the managers of the touristic units from the area to contribute to the preservation and protection of nature, to plan and implement ecologic actions with educational character and with a positive impact on the environment.
