STUDY REGARDING THE RURAL TOURISM ACTIVITY FROM ROMANIA
Abstract
In his whole, rural tourism includes a wide range of accommodation modalities, of activities, events, festivities, sports and entertainments, all running into an environment with rural specific. Therefore, rural tourism represents an concept that includes the tourist activity organized and managed by the rural local population and which has on base a close relation with human and natural environment. Agrotourism comes, in the frame of rural tourism, as a complementary activity, that fructify the surplus of accommodation spaces existing in peasant household, this being prepared and arranged specially for guests, which consists from a set of goods and services offered by households for the consumption of tourists. An important component of rural tourism is the farm, that is and will remain a powerful symbol for residents from urban area through farmer's house, of the peasant, of the one who knows the secrets of nature, who knows the best places for fishing and picking mushrooms from the area, is the place where domestic animals grow, the place where it can be eat fresh fruit, the place where generations are succeeded, representing in the same time, both a place and a way of life unique with which the urban inhabitant has lost the contact. In conclusion, agrotourism represents a distinct form of rural tourism, being limited at the level of the peasant farm, by exploiting the natural environment, of the accommodation offer and of the agrotourism services offered to tourists. Undoubtedly, agrotourism plays an important role in the overall transformation of rural area, especially of the villages and small towns with a high degree of rurality and a precious tourism potential.
