DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION OF AGRICULTURE IN RUSSIA AS A FACTOR IN INCREASING ITS COMPETITIVENESS AND DEVELOPMENT
Abstract
This article considers the digital transformation of agriculture, its development and links to the digital information economy of the state. The relevance of the article is due to the growing importance of the digital economy on a global scale and its impact on all spheres of the state economy. The purpose of the article is to analyze the current state of digitization of agriculture as well as to develop questions about the development of the information digital economy and the introduction of information and communication technologies. The article identifies and studies the negative factors hindering the digitalization of agriculture in Russia. The important directions of the process of digital transformation of the agrarian economy, as the development of artificial intelligence systems, robotization and work with big data, are considered. The authors examined the concept of “Internet of Things - IoT” and the peculiarities of its use in Russian agriculture. The areas of IoT application in agriculture have been identified and characterized: “precision farming”, “smart farms”, “smart greenhouses”, “big data”, management of agricultural transport, etc. The practical significance of this direction is revealed by the example of “smart greenhouses”. New projects of digital transformation of agriculture in Russia are described as the process of creating information-digital systems based on new areas of the digital economy. The directions of increasing the efficiency of agriculture in the conditions of the development of digital transformation and forecasts for the future of digitization of agriculture in Russia and the state are determined.
