SELECTED METHODS OF BUSINESS MODEL DESIGNING IN THE CONTEXT OF HISTORIC TRANSFORMATION OF HEALTH RESORT ENTERPRISES SECTOR BUSINESS MODEL IN POLAND
Abstract
Background: The aim of this article is to discuss selected concepts of establishing and transforming business models and then to present the business model transformed with their use for a selected sector. Method: Selected methods of linear and algorithmic designing used in the process of organization creation and strategic plans establishment were analyzed. They were referred to the specific economic sector, covering both the tourist services and health resort treatment in health resorts. Results: To illustrate the methods being discussed, a diagram of the business model structure for the health resort services sector in Poland was prepared. The historical background of that sector was also taken into account and the factors influencing the transformation process were identified. The general business model can be used to create individual business models for enterprises rendering health resort services. Conclusion: From the diagrams of processes of business modelsВ’ preparation mentioned in this article, it is worth paying attention to the concept characterized by extended methodology based on the compilation of many heuristic techniques or compiling many different concepts. It allows to be precise when selecting elements and their connections, as well as makes it possible to carry out initial assessment of the made decisions and test the influence of particular activities on the recipient of the final product.
