SENSITIZING FOR SUSTAINABILITY IN SOCIAL ECONOMY

Abstract

Mankind has always been preoccupied with the issue of sustainability. In today’s soc al context, however, it seems to be an increasingly important issue that what and how we produce can be sustained in the long run. This is not just a key issue for a market economy. This paper addresses the issue of sustainability that arises for organizations with different social missions. An international research project will be presented, dealing with sustainability management and green controlling in the social economy. The project’s partnership consists from four universities and two companies from Austria, Czech Republic, Germany and Romania, funded by Erasmus+. The main aim is to develop a teaching module for the qualification of future managers in the social economy on the topic of sustainability. Also, to form a multi-professional cooperation between researchers and practitioners within the framework of a strategic partnership which enables to develop practical content on the basis of the latest research.
