DEVELOPMENT OF CHANGES IN THE ORGANIZATION OF WORK IN CURRENT EDITORIAL TEAMS

Abstract

Information communication technology’s and online journalism’s advancement has led to significant changes in editorial work organization, as well. A specific online editorial office, where employees are taking care only about online editions, social networks and other new distribution channels, has been separated from the common editorial office structure in large media. The paper discusses the editorial work in traditional and online editorial office; what is more, we compare basic systems and processes of operation and journalistic content processing. Also, it is focused on work organization changes in editorial team and journalist – individual, especially in his work load. The article concentrates on multimedia journalist’s competence, who breaks traditional borders of journalists’ specification according to media type, he is working for. The aim of article is to define effective editorial work organization’s attributes and create proposal for model applicable in real-life work organization in traditional and online editorial office. Media industry went through significant changes, which influenced journalist’s profession. Regarding with these aspects, organization, production and new distribution channels, journalist is connected to other individuals, who he is working with and is in constant contact with social environment.
