TRADITIONAL COSTUME AS A REFLECTOR OF CULTURAL INTERACTION
Abstract
The author's understanding of mechanisms of cultural interaction of the peoples living on the Volga is given. Processes of formation and development of traditional national costumes are interpreted in a new light, on the basis of postnonclassical methods. The essence of genesis of a traditional costume, mechanisms of distribution of its most successful cultural forms, the factors influencing on image and clothes of people are revealed. Connection of a traditional costume as an integral figurative and artistic system with the past, the present and the future is traced. The accelerated Europeanisation of a traditional costume in the region is analyzed. As the authors consider, it is caused by mass migration of the Germans to the Volga in the 18th centurythat is a positive example of interaction of tradition and innovation. The thesis is proved that some forms and elements of the traditional costume of the Russians, the Mordovians, the Tatars and the Chuvashes in the region are a product of cultural interaction under the influence of which it has considerably changed, having preserved a national colour and a specific character in this case.
