THE EFFICIENCY OF USING A REMOTE MONITORING IN AMBULATORY DISABLED PATIENTS WITH ARTERIAL HYPERTENSION AND DISORDERS OF CARBOHYDRATE METABOLISM
Abstract
In the structure of the world's population in 2020 is expected to be significantly increase by the proportion of the elderly it will increase the workload on outpatient institutions. Arterial hypertension and disorders of carbohydrate metabolism have the greatest prevalence among ambulatory patients than 60 years of age. In these conditions there is a need to find more effective ways of rendering medical aid, which is especially important for disabled patients. The use of remote monitoring opens new possibilities to solve these problems in the health management sphere. To evaluate the effectiveness the bidding of providers of services and measuring devices has been used, calculation of a value and comparative analysis of various options of medical care has been conducted. According to the survey of the market of measuring instruments it may be possible to use two concepts of the system of remote monitoring. To evaluate the social and economic effectiveness the comparative analysis of proposed and existing methods of medical care has been conducted. The advantages and disadvantages of using remote supervision have been taken into account for comparative analysis as well as cost of medical care per one disabled patient has been calculated. The calculation of the cost of medical aid has been performed for the three-year period according to the existing standards. In addition we have scrutinized two ways of providing medical aid: with and without the use of remote monitoring. The results showed that the improvement of the health care system at the outpatient level through remote monitoring contributes to the improvement of medical-social and economic efficiency.
