PRACTICAL ASPECTS OF FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT IN MORAVIAN-SILESIAN SOCIAL WORK ORGANIZATIONS
Abstract
In every society, non-profit organizations play an important role, fulfilling important social, economic and political tasks in society by means of providing services. Organizations of social services are regularly confronted with a lack of funds. It's necessary to be economical with them. This paper illustrates the issues of the financial management in nonprofit organizations, especially in social work organizations. The goal of the article is describe financial management of the social work enterprises and determine how it is being projected to its activities. This study is divided in two parts, theoretical and research part. The theoretical part is focused on the fundamental terms regarding to social services and social work and fundamental principles of financial management. The research part shows the degree of utilization of financial management principles by social work organizations in Moravian-Silesian Region. It focuses mainly on aspects of financial planning, budgeting, assessment of financial situation and control. It is based on results of survey of social work organization in Moravian-Silesian Region carried out in this year.
