VALUES OF RUSSIAN YOUTH
Abstract
The article contains the results of an empirical study of Russian youth. A study conducted by the author in years 2017-2018. The study used quantitative method for collecting primary data (survey) and a qualitative method (in-depth interviews). During the survey the all-Russian sample of Russian youth of 1600 respondents was reached. The study raises questions about life values of Russian young people. Life values of young people are revealed through the study of the attitude of young people to their future, through the study of migration attitudes, through the assessment by young people of situations that worry them, through the definition of life credo, life goals and plans for the future. The article describes plans of young people for the place of residence after graduation, causes of migration attitudes, social facts and situations that disturb youth, ideas of happiness, evaluation of life chances. Conclusions about the diversity of values of young people were made, high migration attitudes were identified, the dominance of self-realization value was found, the high degree of anxiety of young people and the dominance of intangible values in the concepts of happiness are identified during the study.
