Abstract

The paper is a presentation of selected results of the second stage of research project KEGA 014EU-4/2016 – ?Preparation of the content and structure of subject disciplines focused on the development of knowledge and skills of graduates from non-economic health service fields of study”. The focus is on the current need of graduates in health service fields of study for the knowledge of economics and entrepreneurial skills. To identify educational needs while considering the current situation in an organisation, the analysis has to be performed in a three level system, namely: on the level of the organisation as a whole (organisation’s needs); on that of units, teams, positions, professions (group needs); on the level of individual employees (individual needs). The basis of educational needs analysis is the acquisition of an adequate amount of information and identification of the difference between the current state-of-art of employees’ work results and the required results that we intend to achieve. The research was conducted by means of the interview method and the questionnaire method. The questionnaire contained two basic parts: the information section about respondents and the professional section, containing questions related to evaluation of requirements of economic knowledge and business skills. Each respondent was considered as one statistical unit, which was the basis for applying selected statistical methods.
