THE CULTURAL POLICY OF THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT AND THE PROBLEMS OF THE SMALL AND MEDIUM SIZED SUBJECTS FROM THE CULTURAL SECTOR – EVIDENCE FROM THE CZECH
Abstract
The aim of the following paper is to analyze how the local cultural government and his formal or nonofficial cultural policy in condition of the Czech Republic can help to the small and medium subjects from the culture sector, support them and the regional development also. Qualitative research as a part of two research projects was done through the semi-structured interviews. Partial results and findings are available at this moment, but seems to be able to help in practical life of municipalities already. We interviewed small and medium profit and nonprofit subjects from the cultural sectors and experts for the culture from the municipal authorities in specific regions from the Czech Republic. We used typology of three models of region. First partial findings and results shows that the relationship between quality of the local/regional cultural policy and the situation of small and medium sized subjects from the culture sector is rather strong and influence by many factors.
