ORGANIZATION OF STUDENTS SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH ACTIVITY IN THE CONTEXT OF THE COMPETENCE APPROACH
Abstract
The article reveals the essence of research activity and the process of its organization at the university in the context of the competence approach. The concepts of "competence" and "competence approach" are defined. It is established that the essence of the competence approach implies not only the acquisition of knowledge and skills by the students, but also the ability to apply them in practice. The article also highlights the principles of the teachersВ’ work, as well as the scientific research principles in a competence-based approach. The types of competences are determined and the competences, which form the studentsВ’ research activities directly, are defined. Any study of a student for mastering any competence must go through several basic stages: problem statement; the study of the theory associated with the question under study; selection of research method; mastering it; search for material; analysis of the material and its generalization; conclusions. The main problem of studentsВ’ research activities organization was revealed. Research activities for the competence approach is extremely important, since it solves several important tasks at once. Development of research competencies will be more successful if the scientific and methodological positions of the faculty are active.
