EUTHANASIA FROM CHRISTIAN PERSPECTIVE
Abstract
TodayВ’s society is confronted with and is debating a tough reality about the limited existence of every human being, about death. When confronted with the mystery of death, people can display different attitudes: indifference and refusal of the idea of end of life, fierce revolt, euthanasia, helpless resignation, conscious acceptance and integration of this reality in the natural course of life. The profile of a person which embraces euthanasia as a right is that of a man or woman with intense and delicate inner suffering, with family issues or social maladjustment. The profile of a person embracing the euthanasia as a right is that of a man or woman with intense and delicate inner suffering, with family problems or social maladjustment. Possible causes that trigger the suggestion of euthanasia as a means of putting an end to the existence of human life in case of people who find themselves in a particularly delicate situation due to personal suffering, suffering caused to family members or the feeling of being a burden for human society include unstable and precarious thinking, exaggerated subjectivism, relativism, materialism, secularism, considering liberty as an absolute right, and theoretical or practical atheism. The Christian perspective on the life and dignity of the life of every human being proposes a rational and Christian solution to the mystery of human life as a unique and unrepeatable person, and as an integrated member responsible for contributing to the wonderful canvas of human society.
