RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN EMPLOYEES MOTIVATION AND WELL-BEING IN PRIVATE AND PUBLIC SECTOR ENTERPRISES IN LATGALE REGION
Abstract
The research topic is formulated with the anticipation that the managers and chief executives will recognize that the salary is not the only one motivating factor at the workplace to ensure the employees well-being. There are so many examples when the employees leave well paid jobs and good positions. One of the research tasks is to find out how a person feels at his/her workplace. If the level of well-being at the workplace is high, a higher degree of motivation is achieved. There is a range of factors influencing a persons well-being at the workplace and they correspond with certain employees motivation factors. The research leads to the conclusion that the most important well-being factor is having a family, which relates to the level of the pyramid of needs (the level of social needs particularly) defining the need for belonging and love. The aim of the research is to explore and justify correlations between motivation and well-being of the people employed in the organizations and companies of Latgale region, and to find out what is the way those could be managed. Methods of the research: monographic/ descriptive method, graphical analysis, sociological survey.
