MELODICS, A BINDER OF THE MUSIC THEORY WITH THE COLLATERAL DISCIPLINES
Abstract
The highlighting of the importance of melody in education, as an element of connection between the music theory and the other disciplines of the filed, represents the purpose of the present research. Sometimes, students with abilities, give up the musical study, overwhelmed by the universitary programmes' requests. The theme of the research is proposing the simplification of learning the theoretical data, by using the melody. The theoretical disciplines of music -History,Harmony, Polyphony,Folklore , Forms, Orchestration- in order to be assimilated start from the knowledge of themes, of principles of the music theory. The melodicity forms an essential problem within the study of the music theory. The melodic line, a real binder, next to the other elements, participates in the presentation of the music's content. Supporting the research, I proceeded to: selection of some examples from the universal music, rich in interdisciplinary information; ther analysis and interpretation with students; the application of some evaluation tests on subjects of the disciplines included in the analysed examples; the interpretation of results. Appealing to the observation and comparison methods, as a result of the answer's evaluation, I discovered: the increase assimilation, relative to the solicitations' situations excusively theoretical; a better structuring of subjects; an increased interest for the collateral disciplines and especially for the music theory. The proposed solution for the efficiency of musical education, finds an application to each theoretical discipline, by auditions, analysis, interpretations.
