CURRENT ISSUES IN HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT PRACTICES OF COMPANIES OPERATING ON FOREIGN MARKETS
Abstract
The management of human resources is one of the core activities of managers who are responsible for successful corporate governance. Managing employees is one of the basic tasks of managers. This managerial task is an integral part of the managerial activity. The main objective is to convince their employees to meet the objectives of the company. The Human Resources Department in bigger companies is headed by the HR manager. The HR managers of companies operating in domestic environment have to work mainly with domestic employees. The most important issue was how to find and hire sufficient number of qualified workforce. It is essential to create flexible conditions for workers to make migration easier from one sector to another sector of the national economy, respectively ensure flexibility between the labour markets of the countries. Businesses operating in international environment have to deal with further specific factors, e.g. cultural diversity, religion, language barriers etc. The objective of this paper is to clarify some current aspects in the field of HR in organizations operating in international environment.
