EVALUATION OF THE INFLUENCE OF THE DIFFERENT POSSESSIVE MODELS OF THE WATER INFRASTRUCTURE ON THE PRICE OF WATER IN THE CZECH REPUBLIC
Abstract
The thesis deals with the assessment of the economic impact of the use of ownership and separate operational models on water cost and water infrastructure impacts on the distribution network in the Czech Republic. For the purpose of the work, publicly accessible data from the Czech Statistical Office, data provided by water network operators, financial statements and closures of public network operators and relevant laws and decrees valid in the Czech Republic are used. The article compares the impacts of the ownership and separate operational models of the water management infrastructure on water prices in selected regions of the Czech Republic in 2014-2017. The evaluation shows the increases in water and sewerage prices in selected regions, depending on the model of water management infrastructure used. The increase in prices also takes into account the average annual inflation rate in the given years. The increase in water and sewage prices is then compared on the basis of the operating model used to assess the economic value of the application of the operational models used in the Czech Republic. At the end of the thesis, a summary evaluation of the results of utilization of the advantages of individual operating models on the total water price for the final customer and impacts of the use of individual models on the water management infrastructure of the Czech Republic is made.
