THE FIXED PHRASE SCHEME В«WIE + AF (?)!В» IN THE SYSTEM OF GERMAN: STRUCTURAL, SEMANTIC, ETYMOLOGICAL AND PHRASEOLOGICAL ASPECTS
Abstract
The fixed phrase scheme of the modern German language В«Wie + AF (?)!В» is of great importance for the communication practice, because the use of this scheme in spoken speech increases the efficiency of the communicative process, giving it a natural and relaxed character. It has been established that this scheme is capable of expressing different meanings: В«statementВ», В«negationВ» and В«negative evaluationВ». The spe?ific character of its signified element is the combination of dictum and modus propositions. This phrase contains two compulsory components: unchangeable (wie) and changeable (general question AF). The compulsory unchangeable component is characterized by a zero paradigm. The compulsory changeable component has the defective lexico-grammatical and morphological paradigms. There is no syntax paradigm of this fixed phrase scheme because the order of compulsory components is stable. The scheme В«Wie + AF (?)!В» possesses all the features of phraseologization, which manifests itself, for example, in the large desemantization of the lexical unit В«wieВ» as a part of the fixed phrase scheme as well as in its idiomatic elements, values, etc. This research is based on the following methods: descriptive, component analysis method of semantic structure of the sentence, syntax modeling, phraseological analysis, transformational method as well as the method of etymological, contextual and discursive analysis.
