Abstract

This article examines the process of transitioning young people with mild intellectual disabilities from school to the workforce, with a particular focus on the role of vocational guidance and professional preparation. The study highlights the key theoretical models and methodologies used in the vocational training of these individuals, as well as the practical challenges they face during the transition. Effective vocational orientation tools are identified, including personalized planning, practical work experience, and mentorship programs, which help these young individuals make informed career choices. The article also provides recommendations for educational institutions and professionals on how to organize a more effective transition process. These recommendations emphasize the importance of early vocational orientation, individualized transition planning, and ongoing support, ensuring that young people with mild intellectual disabilities are adequately prepared for and successfully integrated into the workforce.
