A STRATEGIC ANALYSIS MODEL FOR DEVELOPING CENTRES FOR ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING IN UNIVERSITIES
Abstract
The present work tries to clear a multi-disciplinary approach involving not only the technology-oriented aspects but also the educational system, the economics, socio-organizational and legal issues. The study is conceived to build a comprehensive scenario, to find and clarify the strategic options and to indicate in terms of organizational development, in order to develop a model of centers for additive manufacturing in universities. The identification of the key variables for the structural analysis it was performed using Micmac method whose results were combined with the results of analysis and strategy stakeholders, involves in the process. The analysis method used, called MACTOR assess important relationship between actors and their convergences and divergences from several stakes and objectives to these stakes. The purpose for developing centers for additive manufacturing in universities are not only to develop new competences for students of Engineering Faculty, but also to develop an interdisciplinary creativity pole for the companies interested in innovative products.
