SOCIAL SECURITY OF POLICEMEN AND SOLDIERS IN SLOVAK REPUBLIC
Abstract
The paper analyzes the Amendment of 328/2002 Coll. Act, the adoption of which had been planned for ten years. Up to 2013, the policemen and soldiers in their best active years were leaving for retirement pension and the state kept losing its skilled and highly active policemen and soldiers with long-term experience. The here discussed Amendment plans to deal with these unwished consequences. The paper therefore sums up changes in social security of policemen and soldiers in Slovak republic that are anchored in aforementioned Act Amendment and it also provides overview of currently introduced benefits, describes previous situation of policemen and soldiersВґ insurance and specifies newly amended taxes of assistances that policemen and soldiers are entitled to claim, in percent.
