PERFOMANCE OF START-UPS
Abstract
The paper deals with a problem of creation and existence of start-ups in Slovak republic and measurement of their success. Generally, the success of firm can be measured through various performance indicators. The paper on theoretical level presents two basic approaches to performance evaluation - the traditional financial ratio analysis approach and approach considered as a broader stakeholder perspective. The paper also presents the results of studies which show different predictors of performance or factors of start-ups success. It points to the chosen performance indicators of Slovak start-ups and compares it with the situation in selected countries, especially form the environment point of view.
