Abstract

Nowadays, automobile traffic reaches such levels, that one of the biggest topics of the bigger and the smaller cities is its optimization. From this problematic arises a question as: how can we streamline traffic in the city? Or with which way can we get the traffic out of the city, to reduce the impact of the transit traffic to the city center. Automobile traffic often achieves critical numbers, which impact is in creation of traffic jams and the city can easily become impassable. The solution could be find in legal restrictions for traffic, but it must be used reasonably with respect to residents and traffic congestion. In case of impact reduction of the transit traffic, a lot of cities trying to solve this problem with a city circuits or bypasses of the traffic out of the urban area to the rural zones. The rural zones are the areas formed by agricultural areas, forests and the other landscape elements. The rural zones are often cruised by transport infrastructure (roads, highways, bypasses, etc.). Emerging transport infrastructure have its impact just on landscape elements, forests and individual biotopes. This article has its aim in analyzing of the existing methodologies for assessment in the construction of transport infrastructure in the Czech Republic and especially in relation to the environment and biotopes. Because the biggest impact is on the individual biotopes. Especially the evaluation of the biotopes and the given methodologies is the aim of this article to find out, what is used in common practice. The outputs of the article is in the knowledge of the lack in assessment of biotopes, with recommendations for the further evaluations.
