THE ACTIVITIES FOR THE CONSERVATION OF THE INDUSTRIAL HERITAGE IN RUSSIA AND IN URAL REGION
Abstract
In the article the authors studied the activities of the International Committee for the Conservation of the Industrial Heritage in Russia and abroad, they identified the stages of development of this movement both in Russia and around the world. The authors use the methodological techniques and methods adopted in science, use both general scientific, historical and cultural methods. The historians note the features of each of the presented stages and identify the role of individuals and state, regional and scientific structures in this process. The shortages in the work on the conservation of the industrial heritage in Russia and the regions are indicated, and positive examples of conservation and representing monuments of cultural and industrial heritage in the region and the country as a whole are presented. In this work the authors set tasks for the near future, they conclude that it is necessary to create a mass civic organization in all regions of Russia for the conservation of industrial heritage. According to the authors, the main factor that promotes the development of this area of social activity is state support for identifying, conservation, rehabilitating and using monuments of the industrial heritage in Russia. They give examples of solving this problem in other countries.
