PARTICULARITIES OF MIGRATION ACTIVITIES IN THE 21ST CENTURY

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the peculiarities of migratory activity of the population in the 21st century. In this study, attention will be paid to the main factors determining the migratory activity of the population. Determining the key factors will provide a practical opportunity for describing and analyzing extremely dynamic and constantly changing processes by the degree and intensity of their manifestation in the changing world. The monitoring of migration flows will be carried out in a retrospective manner in order to highlight the outlined trends and at the same time present forecasts for their future manifestation in terms of their territory, space and direction of movement in the global space. We will also pay attention to the present study and the impact of the regional and bilateral dialogue between the countries of origin, transit and destination of the migration activity of the population. The author's interpretation of the "Global Approach to Migration and Mobility" adopted by the European Commission will be presented, focusing on the four main pillars on which it is based, namely legal migration and mobility, illegal migration and trafficking in human beings, international protection and politics, as well as optimizing the impact of migration and mobility on the development of urban centers and on economic, social and cultural exchanges.
