EUROPEN UNION SECURITY ENVIRONMENT AND ELECTRICITY SECURITY OF COUNTRIES
Abstract
Energy is a key factor that affects all sectors of the economy and is one of the cornerstones of the economy. Energy security is part of national security and is one of the tools to ensure the country's sovereignty, political independence and economic security. The current EU security environment is influenced from a global perspective by globalization and the uneven development of states and regions in the world. There is also a noticeable trend that non-military threats come to the fore and become more burning than those military threats. The paper deals with the analysis of the European Union security environment especially in terms of security threats threatening the energy security of the EU countries. It points out the possibilities and forms of cooperation of the EU countries in the field of security and protection of energy infrastructure. In the final part it presents the measures necessary for increasing the security in the electricity sector and solving emerging crisis situations
