PROSPECTS FOR KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT IN PUBLIC SECTOR ORGANIZATIONS

Abstract

Evaluating the organizational climate and culture implies the use of different methods by public sector organizations' managers and / or human resource management units. Through the application of different methods, it is possible to collect, summarize and analyze information related to employee motivation and engagement, leadership, internal communication, attitudes towards change as well as other issues relevant to the achievement of the strategic and operational objectives of the administrations in the public sector. Improving the efficiency of the use of funds by public sector organizations to develop human resources and improve the administrative capacity of public sector organizations requires the systematic use of tools to highlight trends and patterns in analyzing strengths and weaknesses and identifying concrete measures for the development and strengthening of its administrative capacity. The adoption of knowledge management as a process of applying a systematic approach to acquiring, structuring, management and dissemination of knowledge in organizations, with the main objective to increase the level of knowledge in the workflow through the use of best practices and reduce the high costs suggests increasing desire to implement the process in public sector organizations. The knowledge management process is in fact a constant accumulation, incorporation and value-added of organizational knowledge and know-how in process management in organizations where priority needs to be needs analysis rather than auditing existing documents, as it should be seeks to improve the processes in the organization by sharing knowledge among individuals, groups and the organization as a whole, which in the end generates a synthesis of good practices for the realization of the process of sharing knowledge in the public sector.
