Abstract

Mass-media has always been a place where many types of actions and changes materialize. In regard to nutritional habits, they have been quite destabilized lately and many people choose to eat unhealthy foods and products without taking into account much of the consequences that accompany this type of eating behavior. We would like to highlight the role of mass-media when it comes to creating nutritional habits and putting the impact of mass-media into perspective. For example, many children and teens alike follow certain influencers and/or opinion leaders that could irreversibly affect or even change their eating habits, which might not always be ideal or advisable. Mass-media, in essence, is an important actor in today’s society that activates as a decision-making tool.
